We ask for as much information as possible to get the best start to researching any family. But it can be possible to start researching a family with little more than the names of grandparents. Place can be as important as names and dates.
We charge on an hourly basis. Depending on the details it is usual to commission a set number of hours work after which we will report back to you and then we can agree the next steps.
We may have to include travel charges depending on the nature of the work to be undertaken. We would advise in advance of such costs.
Where we need to buy certificates, we charge these to you at cost.
